It has been a pleasure to speak and teach a weeklong workshop for the Professional Photographers of California at the lovely campus of the University of San Diego every June. This year, while teaching “Transitioning from Stills to Motion” we created a quick time lapse of the annual school group photograph. Time lapse is a fun way to create a view into the compression of time, often condensing 90 minutes of real time into a two minute time lapse. I will be teaching this topic at many PPA type weeklong school next year, one here again at West Coast School June 17-22, 2012. I hope that you will embrace the idea of photographing motion and adding it to the still images that you are capturing now. It is an exciting way to capture imagery as well as an awesome way to attract new clients. This technology is here to stay and in most of the cameras that we are shooting with today. It takes a slightly different way of looking at things, but that’s the fun of it, aside from giving your work a new depth.
I hope that you will find a way to join me and learn how to transition from stills to motion! Please check my website to see where I am teaching and let me show you how to get your images into motion!
